About the Scholarship

The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement of applications for the Lateef Jakande Fellowship Program 2026 for Young Nigerian Graduates.

The Lagos State Fellowship Program is fully funded for one year and offers life-changing, non-partisan, and meritocratic leadership and employment opportunities to young Nigerians who desire to impact their generation.

The Lateef Jakande Fellowship Program 2026 will offer first-hand experience into the process of governance at a State government level, Fellows will also participate in round table discussions with renowned leaders from both the public and private sectors and partake in domestic and international policy trips.

The Lateef Jakande Fellowship Program is a one-year Fellowship programme initiated by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu that will offer life-changing, non-partisan and meritocratic opportunities to young Nigerians who desire to impact their generation.

The fellowship aims to develop future leaders by equipping them with the requisite skills to positively influence public service and instill in them the ethics and values of purposeful leadership through direct mentoring and on-the-job training.

  • Be a Nigerian
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of work experience
