Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly competent Legal Associate to join a reputable Lagos-based law firm. The ideal candidate is an academically strong professional with solid legal training, proven litigation experience, and the ability to deliver top-tier legal support in a fast-paced practice environment. This role is suited for a results-oriented lawyer who brings analytical depth, strong advocacy skills, and a commitment to professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, court processes, contracts, and professional correspondence.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and prepare well-structured opinions, briefs, and internal memoranda.
  • Manage court appearances, hearings, filings, and follow-up with judicial and regulatory bodies.
  • Support senior counsel on case strategy, document review, trial preparation, and client advisory.
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and litigation schedules to ensure timely action.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, external counsel, and government agencies on assigned matters.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, legal developments, and case law relevant to active matters.
  • Contribute to firm operations, client engagement, and cross-functional legal tasks as required.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a second class upper degree in both law school and university with minimum 3 years' experience.
  • A master's Degree and prior experience in litigation will be an added advantage.
