Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice to the Board and Executive Management on corporate, regulatory, and contractual matters.
Oversee compliance with real estate, construction, corporate, and investment regulations.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Develop and implement robust governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
Anticipate and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house legal team.

Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Barrister at Law (BL); Master’s degree (LL.M) is an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably with real estate exposure.
Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); additional certifications are an advantage.
Proven track record in handling high-value transactions, negotiations, and compliance matters.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong business acumen and ability to align legal strategy with corporate objectives.
