Senior Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager – M&A to join one of the leading Big Four firms in Lagos. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in M&A transactions, tax advisory, and due diligence, with strong exposure to the Energy and Financial Services sectors. This is a strategic role requiring both technical excellence and leadership ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute M&A engagements, including due diligence, structuring, valuation, and advisory.
• Provide expert guidance on corporate tax, transaction structuring, and compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
• Manage and oversee due diligence processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
• Prepare and review transaction reports, legal opinions, and advisory documents.
• Drive business development by identifying opportunities and cultivating client relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• LL.B (Second Class Upper Division minimum) from a recognized university.
• ACCA or ACA qualification (mandatory).
• LL.M is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years post-call experience, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in M&A, tax, or transaction advisory.
• Strong understanding of the Energy or Financial Services sectors.
• Proven experience in corporate tax, due diligence, transaction structuring, and compliance.
• Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
