Job Description

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Senior Associate with 5 years of experience in Law and IP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IP legal advice, opinions, and related services
  • Manage law practice and supervise associates/admin staff
  • Draft, review, and interpret agreements, legal reports, and other documents
  • Research case history, legislation, and IP matters
  • Negotiate, execute, and administer contracts and settlements
  • Prepare scopes of work, fee estimates, and quotations
  • Manage work-in-progress, collections, and firm resources
  • Liaise with clients and professionals on legal matters
  • Contribute to firm activities and mentor junior staff
  • Attend trainings, seminars, and professional meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Attorney.

Requirements

  • LL.B and B.L from accredited institutions; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post-call experience, with demonstrable expertise in Intellectual Property Law (Trademarks, Patents, Copyright, Industrial Designs, Technology & Licensing).
  • Proven track record in legal advisory, transactional IP work, and IP portfolio management.
  • Solid background in commercial law, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership capability with prior experience supervising junior lawyers or support staff.
  • Exceptional drafting, analytical, and interpretative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced legal research skills and familiarity with global IP frameworks, treaties, and conventions.
  • Excellent negotiation and client-management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work under pressure, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • High professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and IP database platforms (e.g., WIPO, USPTO, ARIPO, EUIPO).
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with demonstrated professional comportment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, capacity building, and active participation in professional activities.
