About the scholarship

The Chevening Scholarship is the UK Government’s premier global awards program, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations. It provides full financial support for outstanding Nigerian professionals with proven leadership potential to pursue a one-year Master’s degree at any accredited UK university.

The program targets mid-career professionals, community leaders, and future changemakers who are committed to returning to Nigeria to drive positive socio-economic development.

The Chevening Scholarship is fully funded. Selected scholars receive:

  • Full Tuition Fee Waiver for chosen Master's courses.
  • Monthly Living Stipend to cover accommodation and daily expenses.
  • Flight Allowances (Return economy-class flights between Nigeria and the UK).
  • UK Student Visa (T4/Student Route) application fee coverage and standard health surcharge.
  • Arrival and Departure Allowances for initial setup and relocation.
  • Global Network Access to an international community of over 60,000 alumni.
